RE*IMAGE
gives users of the RSG Reinsurance System the ability to view, store,
access, print, share and route actual document images in concert with the
capture of data necessary to perform reinsurance marketing and
administration functions.
The
RE*IMAGE system is tightly integrated with the RSG Reinsurance System. Users
of RSG in various departments are prompted to scan Slip, Contract Wording,
Endorsement, Claims Advices, Broker Statements, or any other user specified
documentation into a PC Network based optical disk storage and retrieval
system.
RE*IMAGE has been designed to use MS Windows based scanning and retrieval software from Capital Software, Ltd. of New York. Their Envision product has been integrated into the RSG Underwriting, Claims management, and Account Processing functions.
Upon binding the company to a contract, the user may be prompted to scan the Offer documents and Signed Slip into the Envision system. RSG software assigns a retrieval code which is made part of the RSG database which captures and process the initial Offer. Thereafter any department which has a designated retrieval station may view the original signed documents and offers merely by entering the retrieval code under Windows from the RSG Contract Display.
Contract Wording, normally received after the contract is bound, may be tracked through the RSG database and scanned upon receipt. The index to this document is then kept in the RSG database and will be displayed in the RSG Contract Display function available to all departments
Upon receiving an advice of Claim, the user may be prompted to scan the advice into the Envision system. The index to the advice is then available to any user who has access to view the Claim on the RSG database and the original document may then be retrieved by entering the retrieval code under Windows
The techniques for capturing original documents, storing the retrieval codes in the RSG database, and allowing the user to retrieve the document for viewing, have been developed by RSG to allow flexibility for the RSG users. During installation RSG customizes the installed work flows to require, or allow, scanning of any documents required to enhance the information capture capability of the entire application.
